The powerful sound of the bagpipes matched with the dynamic vibrant sounds of the fiddle, electric and acoustic guitar compliment the powerhouse bass grooves, pulsating percussion and vocal harmonies. ‘Highlander’ has added their own theme to the jigs, reels and songs of Scotland, and occasionally gives some of the more classic rock songs a "spin" the Highlander way. Their original compositions are rich in melody and message. Always providing a show that is immensely dynamic and entertaining. Queensland based finger-style guitarist Peter Miller is known in Australia and Ireland for his delicate touch and for his beautiful melodic sensibility. Peter has toured Ireland and Europe on numerous occasions where he has shared the stage with legendary songwriter John Spillane. His music has appeared world wide on Film and television and has been chosen for the new Irish film "Will's Diaries". Peter's playing has a tasteful use of space, without being underplayed. His live performances are a mixture of solo and layered guitar pieces. Most of his playing style is of a Celtic and folk mix. Be ready to be weaved into a magic spell and drawn in as Peter's music brings joy to life and makes us beleive we are in another place.
Pumpkin Juice - Celtic Fiddling Kids
We all love to see young children perform and these four young kids from Newcastle, Australia are a must see at the 2012 festival. Gabi, Margot, Julius and Olivia all started to learn classical violin at an early age and are only aged between 7 and 12 years old. Fast Scottish and Irish Jigs, Reels and Strathspeys are included in their repertoire. Look out for Pumpkin Juice a sight and sound not to be missed.
Welders Dog

Tenterfield based Welder's Dog perform songs drawn from their own experiences and their diverse Celtic heritage. The joys, sorrows, the injustices and the vulnerability of simply being human are the common themes their music explore. Their songs are brought to life with their beautiful acoustic instrumentation, including dulcimer, amndola, bass recorder and accordian.
The Glen Innes Gaelic Choir, was formed in 2010 to address a perceived need for a revival of Gaelic culture in the Glen Innes Severn area. The choir is under the auspices of the newly formed Caledonian and Celtic Society of Glen Innes and is a mixed - voice choir of eight members. The choir has performed at Robert Burns Suppers, St Andrew's Day, St. Patrick's Day and St. David's Day Dinners, Bloomsdday Dinners and McGonagall Dinners. Members have also sung at the Hogmanay Concert at the Woodford Folk Festival and at the Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band's Burns Night. Whilist primarily singing in Gaidhlig, the choir also has a repertoire of songs from Ireland and Wales as well as Galicia. The choir proudly performs in the Glen Innes District Tartan.

One of the most popular bands on the Australian folk circuit, Wheelers and Dealershave developed a reputation for quality. Their repertoire is drawn from Celtic tunes and songs in their traditional and contemporary forms therefore developing the bands own unique sound.
