Performers

Our festival performers

In 2024, the festival is thrilled to host a full program of events kicking off on May 2 until May 5 in Glen Innes, NSW. We continue our celebration of all the Celtic nations and our highlighted Celtic nations of Ireland and the Isle of Man.

This year, performances that represent our highlighted nations will be favoured during the selection process.

Applications to perform at our 2024 festival have now officially closed.

If you are provided with this link to complete the below online application form, it is at the discretion of the festival organisers.

A little bit about performing at our festival in 2024

Performances will be held in various locations around Glen Innes from Thursday 2 May 2024 until Sunday 5 May 2024.

At the Australian Standing Stones Festival venue, there is the Highlands Stage main performance marquee, a dance marquee and The Glen – a relaxed and intimate outdoor performance stage for small performances.

This year we also have a Celtic Kitchen Marquee and are seeking expressions of interest for workshops, special guest chefs, displays and competitions.

Performers may also be invited to perform at official events and ceremonies around town during the festival.

Other performance opportunities may include performing at businesses and venues around town in the evenings and during the festival. However, these are not considered official festival events and are to be negotiated between performers and third parties.

performer accommodation

Performer accommodation can be difficult to find so this year the festival is establishing a performer’s village in Deepwater for those who are having difficulty finding accommodation.

This accommodation will have morning and evening buses returning to Deepwater. If you plan to stay longer in the evenings, we suggest you use your own transport and factor your travel expenses into your application.

The festival does not organise other performer accommodation during the festival period, so please factor this cost into your performance application.

We encourage our performers to utilise Glen Innes LJ Hooker real estate for homestay accommodation options, as this frees up our regular accommodation for festival attendees.

The festival can provide information about all Glen Innes Highlands accommodation options, including homestay and community halls. All Glen Innes Showground bookings need to be made directly through the Glen Innes Showground Land Manager.

Those interested in being placed on a waiting list for the performer’s village accommodation were asked to indicate this in the online performer application, including sleeping requirements.

If you have any queries, please contact us to discuss.
