The Friends of the Australian Celtic Festival is a member-based association dedicated to supporting and understanding the history, culture and music of the eight Celtic nations: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Galicia, Brittany, Asturias and the Isle of Man.
Our association provides a forum to research and share information about the settlement of Celts in Australia and enjoy the heritage, music and dance of their forefathers.
You don’t have to be Celt by heritage to join us. You can be Celtic at heart. We still have much to learn about the rich Celtic history in Glen Innes that started with the early settlers of the 1800s pioneering our region.
Our annual Celtic Festival is held on the first weekend of May each year at the Australian Standing Stones and venues around town, with performers travelling from all over Australia and internationally.
We invite you to become members of Friends of the Celtic Festival to join in with our celebrations and to trace your Celtic roots.
