Project Description

Jacaranda Highland Dance

The Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band (QIAPB) is a social band of amateur pipers and drummers from a range of backgrounds and levels of experience. QIAPB wears the Ancient Urquhart tartan as part of our iconic green uniform.

QIAPB play a selection of tunes from many different cultures. We try to pick up new tunes when we travel overseas or to festivals. Of course the majority of our repertoire is Irish but we also play Scottish, Asturian, Spanish, Welsh, Australian and even some rock tunes—because what kind of Aussie pipe band would we be without some Acca Dacca or Farnsey?
